Data Entry Party for Collaboratory
2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Division of Community Engagement in the Office of the Provost invites faculty, staff and students to a Data Entry Party for the division's new database – Collaboratory. This event is designed to bring the community together while making meaningful progress on activity entry. With a curated playlist to set the tone, DCE will celebrate its progress throughout the session with periodic raffle drawings. The event is open to all DCE team members, Data Champions, members of the DCE Council for Community Engagement and all those who do community-engaged work at the university. Those unable to attend in person are encouraged to send a proxy. All guests are welcome. The event will be at the Mary and Frances Youth Center, 120 S. Linden St.

A New Way of Life: Alcoholics Anonymous
3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Health Hub now holds weekly Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings on Thursdays at 1330 N. 25th St., Suite A. Meetings may include readings from AA literature, personal stories of recovery and open discussion guided by the Twelve Steps. All who have a desire to stop drinking are welcome, regardless of background or length of sobriety.

34th Annual WISDM Leadership Conference
Friday, Apr. 24, 2026 from noon to 5 p.m.
The Women in Science, Dentistry and Medicine (WISDM) Faculty Organization will host an afternoon of networking and professional development through enhancement of leadership skills. The conference theme is "Time to Lead: Reclaiming Your Path in Health Care and Science." The event will be held at the Jonah L. Larrick Student Center, 900 Turpin St. Registration will begin at the end of February 2026.

Virginia Minimum Wage Increase
The Virginia minimum wage will increase to $12.77 per hour on Jan. 1, 2026. On that date, all university employees currently making less than this amount will have their hourly rate raised to $12.77. No action is required from employees or managers. Employees may view their employment information, including wages, through eServices. Contact your HR Professional with any questions or concerns.

Fall 2025 Final Grades Due Dec. 18 at Noon
Grade sheets are now available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on Thursday, Dec. 18, at which time grade entry will no longer be available. It is imperative to meet this deadline to complete all-end-of-semester processes prior to the winter closure. Faculty may choose to use the feature to upload grades from an Excel file into eServices or use Canvas Grade Passback to push grades into Banner. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned.

Risk-Taking in Eating Disorders Study
The Translational Research on Eating and Affect (TREAT) Lab is recruiting adolescents and young adults assigned female at birth (aged 12 to 25 years) for a brain imaging study to understand risky decision-making in individuals who have concerns about their body shape/weight, or overeat, purge, use laxatives, diet severely or exercise excessively. We are also investigating these processes in individuals without a psychological disorder. There will be compensation for participation. Be Part of Our Study on Family Meal Times and Health Among Black Families (Compensation Provided)
Black parents/caregivers and their children (ages 8-12) are invited to share their experiences with race, family meal times and health through a small-group conversation in the Richmond area. This feedback will inform future community programming that promotes family discussions about race, nutritious meals and more.
