Disability Advocacy Week Kickoff: Screen Print Truck Pop-Up With Studio Two Three

The Underground and SGA’s Disability Advocacy and Accessibility Caucus will present a Screen Print Truck Pop-Up in partnership with Studio Two Three at the Commons Plaza. Graduate Certificate in Mental Health
The Graduate Certificate in Mental Health is new for fall 2026; registration opens April 1, and Oct. 1 for spring 2027. Four required social work classes (12 hours) equip students with the knowledge and skills to be trauma-informed mental health practitioners. Summer Online Course: Learning English Through AI Tools
This non-credit course introduces the use of AI tools to support your English learning journey as a non-native speaker. Lessons include writing prompts, receiving AI feedback and evaluating responses. Participants work on practical projects, such as AI-assisted presentations, grammar exercises, reading activities and pronunciation practice. Focus is placed on developing language skills, digital literacy and responsible use of AI in both academic and everyday contexts. The course runs from June 15 through Aug. 7. An Exercise App for Young Black Women: Tell Me, What Would You Want?
Black women ages 18-35 who have no experience with resistance exercise (e.g., lifting weights, resistance bands, body weight exercises) are invited to share their perspectives about resistance exercise and their desired features of a mobile app aimed to help guide and track their exercise regimens. This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 with poor sleep quality. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. Research Study: Understanding the Best Strategy for Estrogen Administration to Optimize Bone Health in Young Women With Functional Hypothalamic Amenorrhea
VCU and UVA seek females ages 14–30 for a research study. If you are low weight, lost significant weight or exercise heavily and have missed or irregular periods (FHA), you may qualify. FHA can harm bone health due to low estrogen. This study tests estrogen and progesterone to improve bone health. Participants Are Invited For Study Examining the Impact of Heat Therapy on Symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 55 years who have PTSD or symptoms of PTSD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of heat therapy (infrared sauna) on PTSD symptoms with specific focus on blood vessel function. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principle Investigator: Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
