Conversations About Inclusion Series – Captioning and Title II: Making Smart Choices for Your Courses

VCU's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence will host a session via Zoom about captioning and Title II. This session will present a practical guide to VCU’s main captioning tools. The focus will be on scenarios to help participants manage course videos, make smart captioning choices and know when to request professional captioning support from additional VCU resources. Spring 2026 English Language Program Part-time Evening Courses
VCU's Global Education Office's English Language Program offers evening part-time courses online and in person in the following subjects: Pronouncing American English (online), Test Preparation (in person) and English Grammar (in person) and Learning English through AI Tools. Research Opportunity for First-Gen Students
I am reaching out on behalf of the research team of Waganesh Zeleke, Ph.D., who is part of the HEARTFUL Lab. Our study focuses on understanding and supporting students who experience self-doubt or “Imposter Phenomenon.” Participants will take part in a six-week mindfulness-based group program designed to enhance self-compassion, reduce stress and strengthen resilience. The study includes weekly group sessions, peer mentorship meetings and a brief daily practice app. Students may review eligibility and sign up at the following URL. Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health
This research study is inviting individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 with poor sleep quality. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
