The 25-member VCU Community Guitar Ensemble will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a concert in Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall of the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. This performance is free to attend. The program will include works by Marcello, Toselli, Mompou, Frank Mullen III and the Del-Vikings. The concert will also be live streamed at go.vcu.edu/concerthall.

VCU Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU and St. Paul’s Baptist Church are collaborating to present health career exploration camps for elementary (Saturday, Aug. 8), middle (Monday, July 13-Friday, July 17) and high school students (Wednesday, July 8-Friday, July 10). This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 18 and 24 with poor sleep. Compensation is up to $50. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
